Introduction

As the important equipment on pellet production, SZLH768 pellet mill is specialized in pressing pellets for poultry and livestock feeding and common fish feeding with an annual output of 40 thousand tons, and this equipment is suitable for large scale feed mills and aquaculture farm.

(Note: the calculated annual output is based on the following condition:   )

         Material: corn;
                Moisture: 12%;
               Diameter of ring die hole: Φ4mm
               Working hours: 8 hours per day, 200 day per year 

This machine adopts frequency control motor, axial steam ejector, elongated conditioner, vast door cleaning. In addition, normal protection systems, like external discharging system, safety magnet and overload protection, are also added to this pellet mill. Compared with other sized machine, SZLH768 Pellet Mill has improved with hoop ring die, gearbox with imported bearings and oil seals, and external lubricant system of forced circulation type, light oil used, integrating the function of cooling, filtering and oil cut alarm. This machine also assembles the Bibby coupling with large compensation capacity to transfer drive. 

SZLH768 Pellet Mill manufactures with high output, low noise, low energy consumption, long operating life, convenient operation, and has magnet to remove all the foreign matter.

 

Operation Progress

The following is the specific process of operation: prepared powder with about 13% of moisture comes into feeder screw (its rotational speed is adjustable) from hopper and next into mixer. After the stirring of shaft mixer and the mixing with steam, temperature of mixed powder will raise to 70~90, and moisture content to 15%. Then coming into feed chute and iron-attractive device, these powders will be purified since all foreign matter will be removed. Finally, all the powders will flow into pellet chamber, which is the place for press the pellets.

 

Tips – Usage of New Ring Die

New ring die holes have been polished before it leaves the factory, but the precision of the die holes is relatively low, so in order to achieve highest output, trial run should be taken to further polish die holes. 

In a trial run of new ring die, oily material should be used at the first time. And only when all holes (more than 90%) are discharged, materials bringing greater friction should be added to materials to polish the ring die holes. 

When new ring die come into service, the most important thing is adjust r.p.m. of conditioner. Feeding speed cannot be raised before ammeter pointer coming into stable. If holes are blocked, accumulations should be cleaned at first, then restarting pellet mill. R.P.M. of restarted machine should slow down, and original speed is forbidden. This is because material will be blocked in ring die holes after cooling, so only external force, from the pressure of rollers, can make new powdered material come into holes and form pellet.  

Patience is important when using new ring die. Before highest output has been achieved, ring die should be fully polished.
